What This Add-On Does

The Gravity Forms Termageddon Add-On connects your forms to the policy pages you’ve already built with Termageddon. It adds a Termageddon Consent field type to Gravity Forms — a checkbox whose label pulls in linked policy names, like Privacy Policy or Terms of Service, straight from your published pages. When someone submits the form, the add-on saves a consent snapshot on the entry: a version hash, a UTC timestamp, and the policy URLs shown at the time of submission.

This is a form-level consent tool, not a cookie banner. It won’t configure or replace the Termageddon Usercentrics cookie consent tool, and it doesn’t touch your site’s cookie settings. Its job is narrower and more specific: proving what someone agreed to, and when, right on the Gravity Forms entry.

Setup on your end is straightforward: create each policy page in WordPress with its Termageddon embed code, then add the Termageddon Consent field in the Gravity Forms editor and pick which policies to include. The add-on handles the linking and the record-keeping.

Requirements

  • Gravity Forms 2.7 or newer
  • Termageddon: Cookie Consent & Privacy Compliance plugin, installed and active
  • A Termageddon account with the relevant policies published (Privacy, Terms, Cookie Policy, etc.)
  • Published WordPress pages containing the Termageddon embed code, with data-policy-key set
  • WordPress 6.5 or higher
  • PHP 7.4 or higher

Note: installing the Termageddon cookie plugin does not create your policy pages. Those are separate pages with separate embed codes pulled from your Termageddon dashboard. The Gravity Forms Termageddon Add-On reads policies from those pages, not from cookie banner settings.

Do I paste embed codes into this add-on somewhere?

No. Embed codes go into WordPress Pages, the same way you’d normally set them up with Termageddon. The add-on scans your published pages and finds them on its own — there’s no separate field for pasting code into the plugin itself.

Why does the form editor say no policies are configured?

This almost always means no published page currently contains a Termageddon embed with a data-policy-key attribute. Create or update your policy pages first, then check the field settings again — the add-on can only link to policies it can actually find.

The Gravity Forms Termageddon Add-On is released under the GPL license, consistent with the WordPress plugin ecosystem it’s built for. Current version is 0.1.0-alpha.1, so treat it as early-stage software and test it on your forms before relying on it for compliance records.
