Description
What This Add-On Does
Slider Revolution Liquid Glass Addon brings a liquid glass look to your sliders. You apply it to layers inside the Slider Revolution editor, and those layers turn into translucent, frosted-style panels that sit over your images and video. The background shows through, softened and slightly blurred, much like a pane of frosted glass. This GPL-licensed add-on extends Slider Revolution rather than replacing anything, so your existing sliders and workflow stay as they are.
The effect is a good fit for text blocks, buttons, cards and badges. A headline placed on a busy photo is a common problem. A glass panel behind it keeps the words readable without covering the picture with a solid box.
Key Features
- Liquid glass effect on layers so any suitable layer can become a translucent panel.
- Works over images and video backgrounds, letting the footage or photo show through the glass.
- Applied directly in the Slider Revolution editor, alongside the layer settings you already use.
- Frosted-style panels that help keep overlaid text legible on detailed backgrounds.
- Can be used on some layers and not others, so one slide might have a single glass card while the next stays plain.
Where You Might Use It
Think of a hero slider with a full-width photograph and a glass card holding the headline and a call-to-action button. Or a product showcase where a small frosted panel carries the price and name over a lifestyle shot. A video background with a glass caption bar is another easy one. The panels give slides a layered, modern feel without extra graphics work in an image editor.
Because the glass is built from the layer itself, you can place, resize and animate it with the same tools you would use for any other Slider Revolution layer.
What It Works With
This is an add-on for Slider Revolution, the slider and visual content builder for WordPress. It needs Slider Revolution to be present, since all of its controls appear inside that plugin’s editor. It is not a standalone slider and does not add front-end features outside Slider Revolution modules.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the glass effect on any layer in my slider?
You apply it per layer in the Slider Revolution editor, so you choose which elements get the translucent treatment. Text boxes, buttons and shape layers that act as panels are the usual candidates, and you can leave other layers untouched.
Will the effect work on top of video as well as still images?
Yes. The glass panels are designed to sit over both images and video, showing the background through a frosted surface. Video slides pick up the effect just as photo slides do.
