What This Add-On Does
Bookly Events (Add-on) is a GPL-licensed extension for the core Bookly plugin, built for businesses that run scheduled group events instead of one-on-one appointments — think fitness classes, workshops, tours, or seminars where multiple people book the same time slot. Where the base Bookly plugin handles individual staff-to-customer bookings, Bookly Events (Add-on) shifts the model to group capacity: you set the date, time, and how many spots are available, and customers book a place until the event fills up.
It runs inside your existing WordPress dashboard alongside the rest of Bookly’s setup — no separate login, no external event platform. You create the event once, set capacity limits, and let the booking form handle the rest.

Requirements
Bookly Events (Add-on) requires the core Bookly plugin installed and active on your WordPress site — it does not function as a standalone tool. Because it extends Bookly’s existing booking form and calendar, it also depends on whatever staff, service, and payment setup you’ve already configured in the main plugin. If you’re using other Bookly add-ons like Custom Fields or Deposit Payments, those continue to work alongside events without extra configuration.
Can I limit how many people book into a single event?
Yes. That’s the core function of this add-on. You set a capacity number when creating the event, and the booking form stops accepting new sign-ups once that number is reached — no manual monitoring needed.
Do customers book events the same way they book regular appointments?
Mostly, yes. Events appear in the same booking form customers already use for services. The difference is that instead of claiming an exclusive time slot with a staff member, they’re reserving one of the available spots in a group session.
Can I charge different prices for different events?
Yes. Each event is set up individually, so pricing, capacity, and assigned staff can all vary from one event to the next. Payment is processed through whichever gateway you’ve already connected in Bookly — Stripe, PayPal, or WooCommerce.
