Requirements
Bookly Square payment (Add-on) requires the core Bookly plugin installed and active on your WordPress site. You’ll also need an active Square merchant account to connect and process payments. This add-on extends Bookly’s existing payment options — it doesn’t replace the free plugin, it builds on it.
Can I use Square alongside Stripe or PayPal in Bookly?
Yes. Bookly supports multiple payment methods at once, so you can offer Square as one option alongside Stripe, PayPal, or WooCommerce. Customers pick whichever method you’ve enabled during checkout, and each transaction routes to the correct processor automatically.
Do customers need a Square account to pay?
No. Customers just enter their card details in the Bookly booking form. Square processes the charge on the backend — the customer never needs to log into anything or hold a Square account themselves.
Does this add-on handle refunds if a customer cancels?
Refunds for payments processed through this add-on are managed through your connected Square account. If your cancellation policy requires a refund, you’ll process it from Square directly, and it will reflect against the original transaction tied to that booking.
